Jan Katzen, AMI, CFP, CN
Nutritional Therapist & Educator
Jan began working at Melmed Center in 2017 and works with children, adolescents, and adults to identify and improve eating habits that may negatively impact physical and mental well-being. Services begin with a complete health and nutritional history. Individualized meal plans for nutritional adequacy are made along with interventions for carbohydrate addiction, restrictive/ disordered or over-eating, anxiety, pica, OCD, ODD, meltdowns, and more. Helpful, easy recipes are provided for positive sustainable results. Chewing therapy is also taught. Optimizing nutrition can improve the severity of co-occurring symptoms seen in ADHD, autism, developmental delays, sleep disturbances and learning difficulties.
