Our social groups are offered throughout the year. Please call the office to speak with our group coordinator to determine which group is appropriate for your child's needs. 

Clue Breakers

3rd-8th graders
Many young people have a hard time reading social cues, including children with Asperger’s Disorder. Boys and girls uncover the clues of successful social interactions, such as facial expressions and body language.  Children learn effective communication skills and how to take the perspective of others. Sessions include modeling, practice of social skills and counseling related to friendship issues.


Girl Talk

This is a activity oriented high functioning social skills group for 3rd-5th grade girls that combines crafts, role playing and games to help them learn to make and keep friends, communicate, problem solve, monitor moods, and improve self esteem, decision making and social sportsmanship skills. 

Girl Friendz
Girl Friendz is a activity oriented high functioning social skills group for 6th-8th grade girls that combines crafts, role playing and games to help them learn to make and keep friends, communicate, problem solve, monitor moods, and improve self esteem, decision making and social sportsmanship skills

Taming the Tornado
Calling all K-2nd grade boys and girls, this social skills group is for you! Emotions such as frustration, anger, and jealousy often result i acting out and aggressive behavior. Children who are reactive and impulsive learn the “tools” needed for emotional regulation and self-esteem through stories, hands-on activities and games. Please note all group participants need to be to work independently at grade level and have no significant developmental delays to participant in this group.

FOCUS
FOCUS is a high functioning social skills group for 9-12 year old children with attention, behavioral, and social challenges. Group goals include enhancing social skills, improving self-monitoring and emotion regulation, as well as learning more effective ways to solve problems and cope with stressors. Activities and games enhance the child’s group experience and contribute to a fun and interactive learning environment.



Stress Busters
Today’s child is faced with academic and social demands that create debilitating levels of anxiety and worry. Stress Busters is designed to utilize Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) techniques and interventions to help 3rd-6th grade children develop the tools needed to take charge and cope with stressful situations.
